No. 2
No. 2 02/04/12
An ancient, cantankerous Fijian matriarch decides at four am one morning that her time is up. And so she orders her drunken grandson to organise a feast where she will name her successor in true Fijian tradition. As preparations ensue, the family begins to arrive while tensions unfold.
Presented with the support of Creative New Zealand.

New Animal
New Animal 02/07/12 To 02/11/12
Suffused with raw, unbridled energy, groove, ludic interaction and a hunger for movement, the dancers of The 605 Collective reclaim their animal bodies as a means of becoming fully human. Engaging with the push and pull of the group dynamic, while recognizing its interdependence, New Animal attempts to speak of otherness.

The Silicone Diaries
The Silicone Diaries 02/14/12 To 02/25/12
Nina Arsenault’s tour de force account of her transition from an awkward man into a jaw-dropping silicone bombshell; a process that spanned eight years, sixty surgical procedures and a lifetime of preparation. Blurring the lines between fake and real and playing with the tension between society’s presumed desire for authenticity and its demonstrated preference for the artificial, The Silicone Diaries provides us with a peek into the personal obsessions of those who are driven to transform their bodies. At the same time, it is a frank exploration of the contradictions associated with the quest for beauty.
